Privacy Policy
Turbo Track is an arcade racing game. This policy explains what the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the game is fully playable offline without an account; the only things that leave your phone are your best runs for the leaderboards, an account or backup code if you choose to create one, and the data that showing ads involves.
Information we collect
Stored on your device
Your times, stars, unlocked roads, credits, garage upgrades, paints, achievements, settings and the recordings of your own best runs are stored on your phone. None of it is sent anywhere except as described below.
Leaderboards and ghosts
When you set a best time on a road (or a best distance in Free Run) and your phone is online, the run is published to that road's leaderboard so other players can see it and race against it. What is published:
- A random player id — the app creates an anonymous account with Firebase Authentication the first time it publishes. It contains no personal details: no name, no email, nothing typed by you.
- Your board name — a nickname the game generates (for example "TurboFalcon42"). You are never asked to type a name. You can re-roll it from the ACCOUNT & BACKUP screen.
- Your time, or your distance in Free Run, and the ghost — a recording of your car's position through the run, so other players can pick you as a rival and race your line.
Leaderboards are visible to every player of the game. Nothing on them identifies you beyond the generated name.
If you sign in (optional)
- Account details — your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the display name on that Google account. This exists so your progress can follow you to a new phone. If you sign up with an email address and password, the password is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication — it is never sent to us and we cannot see it.
- Your cloud save — your progress (times, stars, unlocks, credits, garage and achievements), stored under your account so it can be restored. It is private to your account.
If you use a backup code (optional)
- Your saved progress — the same game data as above, stored under a random code the app gives you and you keep. No account and no personal information are involved. Anyone with the code can restore the save, so treat it like a password.
Collected automatically
- Advertising data — the game shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and coarse device information to serve and measure ads. In the EEA and the UK you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time from Settings → AD PRIVACY (the row appears wherever the law gives you that choice).
How we use your information
- To run the leaderboards and let players race each other's ghosts.
- To save your progress and restore it on a new device, if you sign in or keep a backup code.
- To show ads, which is how the game is funded.
- To answer your requests about your data.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Leaderboards and ghosts are readable by other players; your cloud save is private to your account and a backup is readable only with its code.
Google's servers may be located outside your country, so your data may be processed abroad. Google's infrastructure is covered by standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Your account and cloud save — kept until you delete your account, after which they are removed permanently.
- Leaderboard rows and ghosts — kept, under the generated board name. The database rules do not allow a published record to be deleted, so that a time on the board cannot be walked backwards; once your account is gone the rows are not linked to you. Email us if you want them removed and we will do it.
- Backup codes — kept until you overwrite the backup, use STOP BACKING UP in the app, or ask us to delete it.
- Advertising data — held by Google under its advertising policies.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — sign-in and database.
- Google AdMob — advertising (how Google uses ad data).
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the title screen: ACCOUNT & BACKUP → DELETE ACCOUNT. That permanently removes your account and the cloud save with it. Progress stored on your phone stays on your phone and can be removed by uninstalling the app. See the account deletion page for exact steps, including deletion by email and removal of leaderboard rows.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the UK/EU GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act — you may have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted (see above — you can do most of this yourself in the app);
- object to, or restrict, how your data is used;
- withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time, from Settings → AD PRIVACY.
To exercise any of these, email spintechstudio@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Turbo Track is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
